VideoSrt Lab ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Anonymous ID: A randomly generated identifier created on first launch to identify your account without requiring personal information.
• Apple ID (optional): If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive a unique Apple user identifier, and optionally your name and email address, solely for account association purposes.
• Country / Region: Derived from your device's locale settings (e.g., "US", "JP") to help us understand regional usage. We do not collect precise location data.
• Video content: Videos you import are processed locally or uploaded temporarily to our servers solely for the purpose of generating subtitles. Videos are not stored permanently and are deleted from our servers after processing.
• Usage data: Basic usage metrics such as the number of subtitle generation tasks completed and subscription status, used for service operation and quota management.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the subtitle generation service
• To manage your account and subscription quota
• To improve our service and understand regional demand
• To restore your membership when switching devices

We do not use your information for advertising purposes, and we do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate VideoSrt Lab:

• Apple Sign In: Optional authentication provided by Apple Inc. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Alibaba Cloud (Aliyun): Cloud storage and computing services used for temporary audio processing. Data is processed in the Hong Kong region.
• DashScope (Alibaba): AI speech recognition and translation services. Audio data is transmitted securely and deleted after processing.
• Apple StoreKit: In-app purchase processing. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple and is never seen or stored by us.

4. Data Retention

Audio files uploaded for subtitle generation are automatically deleted from our servers immediately after processing is complete. Subtitle results are retained to allow you to re-access them within the app. You may delete any video and its associated data at any time from within the app.

5. Children's Privacy

VideoSrt Lab is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon request, we will permanently delete your anonymous ID, usage history, and any associated data from our servers.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS) and secure server infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
